The Days of 'Running Around' to Find Land
I'm Lan, my husband is Hung, and our Minh is currently 6 years old. A year ago, our life was quite stable with a 2-bedroom apartment in District 7. But as Minh grew older, we began to realize the limitations of apartment living. Minh is very energetic, loves to run and explore, but the space in the apartment is too small for him to have fun. Every evening, I often saw him hugging his teddy bear, looking out the window with longing eyes at the large yards.
The Worry of 'No Space for a Growing Child'
Our biggest concern wasn't money, but living space for our child. We wanted Minh to have a place to freely explore, a small garden to grow plants, and a yard to play with friends. We were also very concerned about security and the living environment. District 7 is quite bustling, but also quite noisy and crowded. We wanted to find a quiet, safe place, close to good schools, and with lots of greenery.
The Journey to Find the Ideal 'Nest'
Our land search journey began with long nights browsing real estate websites. We looked at hundreds of listings, from project land to residential land. We also consulted with friends, relatives, and real estate experts. Initially, we aimed to find land in new urban areas, but after visiting many projects, we found that these areas often lacked green space and trees. We then turned to existing residential areas, but prices in these areas were often very high. We looked at land in District 2, District 9, even Binh Duong, but still couldn't find a suitable plot.
Thao Dien - An Unexpected 'Stop'
By chance, we were introduced to a compound in Thao Dien by a friend. We went to see it and were immediately impressed by the green, quiet, and secure living space. The streets are lined with trees, with parks, swimming pools, and playgrounds for children. We looked at a few plots in this area, but the prices were quite high compared to our family budget. Fortunately, we found a 450m2 (18x25m) plot for 250 million/m2, which was suitable for our family's finances. This plot is in a quite beautiful location, near the park and international school. Importantly, this land is rectangular, fully titled, with a clear red book.
The Decision to 'Overcome' Worries
Deciding to buy this land wasn't easy. We had to consider many factors, from finances to construction time. We were also worried about whether this land would really be suitable for our family's needs. But in the end, we decided to 'overcome' those worries and put down a deposit on the land. We believe this is the right decision, as it will bring our child a good living space and a bright future.
The Happiness of 'Coming Home'
After completing the purchase procedures, we started planning to build a house. We hired an experienced architect to design a house that suited our family's preferences and needs. We wanted the house to have a small garden, a playroom for our child, and a spacious common living area. When the house was finished, Minh was very happy. He ran around the house, hugged his parents and said, 'This is my house!'. Seeing his radiant smile, we felt that all our efforts were worthwhile.
Advice from Someone Who 'Made It'
If you are looking for a plot of land to build a home for your family, take the time to research carefully and consider all factors. Don't just focus on the price, but pay attention to the living space, security, environment, and surrounding amenities. Find a place where you and your family feel comfortable and happy. And most importantly, trust your instincts.
