Secure Compound - Our Family Home (508m2, District 7)

Secure Compound - Our Family Home (508m2, District 7)

Our Early Days at Destino

I still vividly remember the day our family moved to Destino. At that time, An was only 2 years old, and my wife had just given birth to Bong a few months ago. We searched for a long time and finally chose Destino because of its absolute security and lush greenery. The closed compound, with 24/7 security and surveillance cameras everywhere, made me feel completely secure letting my young child play freely.

Concerns as the Children Grew

But time flies by so quickly. An is now 5 years old, and Bong is almost 3. The children are growing up, and their spatial needs are increasing. Our 3-bedroom apartment started to feel cramped. An loves to run and play with toys, but there isn't enough space. My wife worried that the children wouldn't have enough space to play and develop fully. I was also concerned about wanting the children to have a private, quiet space to study.

The Journey to Find a New Home

We started looking for a new house, more spacious, with a garden for the children to play freely. We looked at many projects, from new urban areas in District 2 and District 9 to villa areas in District 7. Each place had its own advantages, but also limitations. Some places were too far from school, some lacked the amenities for young families. There were luxurious villas, but the price was too high, exceeding our financial capabilities. We also considered buying land and building ourselves, but were worried about construction time and the quality of the work.

Why We Chose This Villa

Finally, we decided on this villa. It is located in a secure, quiet compound, close to the Singapore International School and major shopping centers. The area of 508m2 (21x25m) is spacious enough for the children to play freely, with a garden to plant trees, and a private pool to cool off in the summer. The villa's design is modern and airy, with 3 floors and a basement, fully meeting the living needs of my family. Moreover, the corner location with 2 fronts, facing Southeast, brings natural light and cool breezes to the house. We weren't looking for a perfect house, but a house that suited our family's needs and conditions.

The Joys After Moving In

The first day we moved into the new villa, An and Bong were thrilled. An ran around the garden, shouting with joy. Bong loved the pool and asked his mother to take him down to play in the water. My wife smiled happily, watching the two children have fun. In the morning, I often sit and sip a cup of coffee, watching the green park in front of the house, feeling truly peaceful and relaxed. We have found a true home, where we can nurture family affection and build a bright future.

Advice from Experience

If you are looking for a home for your family, carefully consider your family's needs and conditions. Don't just look at the appearance, but focus on security, amenities, and living space. Take the time to learn about the surrounding area, schools, hospitals, and shopping centers. And most importantly, choose a house that your whole family feels comfortable and happy in. We have decided to transfer our Destino apartment to have more resources for a new life.
