Life by the Saigon River at Thủ Thiêm Villa
I've been living in this area for over a decade, witnessing many changes. When Thủ Thiêm Villa was first developed, I was curious about a secluded, luxurious urban area rising in the heart of the bustling city. Now, with many friends and relatives moving in, I understand this place better, not just from flowery advertisements but from real experiences and daily stories.
First Days Moving In: A New Beginning
Mr. Minh and Ms. Lan, along with their two young children, decided to find a new living space after many years in an old apartment in the city center. Ms. Lan shared: “We want our children to have ample space to play and be closer to nature. Our old apartment was convenient but cramped, feeling suffocating. Every time I see the kids confined indoors, I feel sorry for them.”
The Minh family's search began in familiar areas, but they gradually turned towards new projects with well-planned layouts and green living spaces. After researching and considering many options, Thủ Thiêm Villa emerged as a strong contender. “The first impression was the open space. Although the price was not cheap, we thought it was a worthwhile investment for our children's future,” said Mr. Minh.
They chose a semi-detached villa with an area of 200m2, featuring a basement, ground floor, two upper floors, and a rooftop. “The best part is that rooftop; I've dreamed of having a place to grow plants and enjoy the city view at night,” Ms. Lan excitedly recounted.
Daily Life: Small Details Make the Difference
After moving into Thủ Thiêm Villa, the Minh family's life has seen many positive changes. In the morning, instead of rushing to drop the kids at school and then heading to work, Mr. Minh can leisurely make a cup of coffee and sit on the second-floor balcony, looking out at the lush green space.
“The first feeling is peace. Open the window and you see greenery, a cool breeze blows in. In the afternoon, the kids can run out to the nearby park or cycle on the clean internal roads. I no longer worry about them playing outside,” Ms. Lan shared.
The location near the central park and the Saigon River park is a significant advantage. On weekends, the whole family often goes for walks, picnics, or simply sits and enjoys the river view. “I find the children are more obedient and share better now. Perhaps the living environment greatly influences their psychology,” Mr. Minh observed.
However, not everything is perfect. Mr. Minh also frankly shared: “It’s true that life here is very pleasant, but everything has its price. The cost of living here is higher than in our old place. Sometimes, commuting to the city center is a bit far, especially during peak hours.”
Ms. Lan added: “Also, we feel a bit ‘isolated’ from the outside world. Although there's a resident community here, sometimes it still feels a bit lacking in the vibrancy and diversity of other areas. However, in terms of living space for the family, this was the right choice.”
Advice from Someone Who's Been There
When asked for advice for those considering Thủ Thiêm Villa, Mr. Minh and Ms. Lan both stated that the most important thing is to clearly define your own and your family's needs.
“If you prioritize green living space, tranquility, good security, and have ample finances to invest in quality of life, this is a place worth considering. Especially if you have young children, providing them with space for physical and mental development is crucial,” said Mr. Minh.
Ms. Lan emphasized: “Don't just look at the selling price or the glamorous exterior. Come here, spend time walking around, feel the atmosphere, talk to the people living here to get a realistic view. Also consider the inconveniences you might encounter in daily life, such as commuting.”
“For the corner lot with an area of 267m2, if you need a more private space and want to design it yourself, that's also a very worthwhile option to consider, especially with its location near the central park and the river,” Mr. Minh added, referring to one of the featured villas.
Life at Thủ Thiêm Villa, for the Minh family, is not just about owning a luxurious villa, but also about finding a peaceful haven for the whole family to build values together. This is the story of those who have chosen this place and are enjoying what it offers, with all its advantages and considerations.
