Early Days in Van Minh, An Phu
We are Lan and Hung, both working in the technology sector. Five years ago, when our daughter Mai was born, we decided to buy a small house in KDC Van Minh, An Phu, District 2. At that time, with a limited budget, this was the best option. The house is a 2-story house with a rooftop, with an area of 12 X 22 CN 231.7m2, facing southwest, and has a pink book. We thought it was enough space for our small family to start a life.
Challenges as Mai Grew Up
But life always changes. Mai grew up so fast. Indoor games gradually became cramped. The rooftop, which we once hoped would be a relaxing space, became a place for Mai to hide and play alone. What worried me most was that the living space was not enough for Mai to develop comprehensively. I want Mai to have a large yard to run around, a private study room to focus, and peers to play with. Hung also shared with me that he wanted a safe, quiet house near a good school so that Mai could receive the best education.
The Journey to Find a New Haven
We started looking for other options. We visited many projects, from luxury apartments to riverside villas. Each place has its own advantages. Apartments have modern amenities, but lack privacy. Riverside villas have spacious space, but are too far from the center, inconvenient for commuting and taking children to school. We also considered buying land to build a house ourselves, but were worried about construction time and unexpected costs. During the search, we faced many difficulties. Real estate prices are increasing, forcing us to adjust our budget many times. We also had to deal with conflicting advice from family and friends. But we always remembered that our ultimate goal was to find a house that truly suits our family.
The Decision to Move to a New Residential Area
After months of searching, we decided to move to a new residential area, about 15 minutes drive from An Phu. This residential area has lush green space, guaranteed security, and an international kindergarten right in the area. Our new house is larger, has a spacious garden, and has a private study room for Mai. We chose this house not because it is the best, but because it is the most suitable for our family's needs. It has enough space for Mai to develop, enough security for us to be assured, and enough amenities to make our lives more comfortable.
Joy in the New Home
Since moving to the new house, our family life has changed a lot. Mai loves the spacious garden, where she can run and play freely. She is very happy to have a private study room, where she can focus on learning and doing homework. My wife and I also feel more comfortable having private space to relax and work. In the morning, when I see Mai smiling brightly in the park, I feel happier than ever. We have found a true haven for our family.
Advice for Young Families
If you are looking for a house for your family, remember that there is no perfect house. Identify your family's priorities and look for a house that suits those priorities. Don't be afraid to change, and don't be afraid to experiment. Most importantly, find a place where your family feels happy and peaceful. Currently, we are looking to transfer the house in KDC Van Minh, An Phu. Hopefully it will be a good home for another family.
